The NC Electric Vehicle Tax Debate
In January of 2014, North Carolina EV owners began paying an added annual fee of $100, which has since increased to $130. The fee’s presence in North Carolina has created a highly controversial debate, leaving the public divided in their opinions. To get a better grasp on how the fee is directly affecting the North Carolina EV community, we reached out to several Plug-in NC ambassadors to hear their positions on the tax. Read more here.

Clean Energy User Survey
Your choice to invest in clean energy helps to create jobs, provide local economic opportunities and generate affordable energy that benefits all North Carolinians. We are working with the NC Sustainable Energy Association to collect feedback on clean energy technology purchases in a brief survey: the Clean Energy User Survey. Please consider taking a few minutes to complete this survey at the link provided below. All survey responses will be kept confidential. If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Robin Aldina at or 919-832-7601 ext. 114. Click here to take the survey.

Networked Charging Stations – Worth the Price?
For years now there has been a networked vs. non-networked charging station debate. Should you pay extra to have a networked charging station that provides you data on energy usage and allows you to collect payments? Or should you save the money and just install a basic charging station? Join us for a webinar on August 23 at 10:00 AM that will discuss the value of networked charging stations.
