DOE Workplace Charging Challenge
In March 2017, the U.S. Department of Energy announced that they have concluded the formal Workplace Charging Challenge initiative. We enjoyed serving as an ambassador for the program since it began in 2013. The Workplace Charging Challenge encouraged hundreds of employers to commit to providing charging stations for their employees and provided numerous resources and educational information. We congratulate the DOE on the success of this effort and are thankful for the impact it made. With the Challenge ending, we would like to encourage you to continue your efforts and be recognized for them through Plug-in NC. By becoming a member, you will be provided with similar support, resources and recognition as the Workplace Charging Challenge.
 Member Highlight: City of Hendersonville

“The City is proud to be one of the first in the region to offer electric vehicle charging to the public. These stations will give our residents and visitors a further reason to stroll, shop and dine on Hendersonville's Main Street. People consider our downtown charming and quaint, but as a City we are committed to providing infrastructure that reflects a modern lifestyle. The EV chargers, as well as the Wi-Fi we have provided on Main Street for several years now, are results of that commitment." - Mayor Volk
